Smash provides online statistics to measure media costs and follow the behaviour of mobile marketing campaign. In addition to campaign statistics, there are more detailed statistics of campaign elements, such as advertisement type, content, client, request of mobile users and external applications.
The statistics can be visualised. Smash provides bar charts of deliveries or requests, which can be shown on the basis of hour, day, week or month. Smash produces extensive service event logging; the information is stored for further usage. Separate optional Smash reporting tools can be used for detailed data analysis. Various reports can be generated, for example, on advertising traffic, response rates and target groups.
The software structure of the Advertising Server consists of the following main components:
* database
* service execution
* administration (GUI interface)
* messaging connectivity modules
* interfaces to external applications and databases.
The service execution under Smash is Java-based. The administration interface is browser-based. Connectivity modules are written in Java and C++.
The operating systems supported are HP/UX, Sun Solaris and Linux. Smash is built on Oracle. However, other SQL databases can be supported.
Smash provides ASP support that enables a single instance of Smash to be shared by several service providers simultaneously.
A system administrator manages Smash and creates accounts for the service providers. When a campaign manager account has been created, the service provider may start to use Smash as if it were its own system. Different service providers see only their own resources, e.g. campaigns.
