Prepaid Phones in Macedonia and Moldova

MobiMak launched its prepaid service MobiPlus in September 2000. Prepaid packages include a SIM card, MobiPlus voucher, handset instructions, and a basic range of VAS are distributed in MobiMak shops and over 200 authorised dealers.
Voxtel launched the country’s first prepaid service TEMPO in April 2000. This service was successful in the Moldavian market, which has had mobile telephony since October 1998. TEMPO achieved 1,405,000 active customers by third quarter 2008.
