The current release of Add2Phone’s Mobile Advertising Server is version 3.0, which is the sixth main release of the software.
Mobile Advertising Server campaign wizards support the campaign manager throughout the service creation process. Campaign creation can involve the definition of the following items:
* target group of mobile users
* content of advertisement
* launching condition for the delivery of the advertisement
* delivery mechanism of the advertisement
* connection to a sponsored service
* validity period of the campaign.
The selection criteria for a target group are based on mobile users’ personal profiles. Target groups can be combined together and can have new selection criteria added to them. This allows for a variety of possibilities in the creation of target groups for whom the delivered content is relevant. If a mobile user satisfies more than one target group criterion, Mobile Advertising Server automatically avoids sending them duplicate advertisements.
Mobile user profiling information can be managed through the profile management interface. The mobile users themselves can also manage their profiles via a self-provisioning interface. In addition, externally authenticated applications can add users to a Smash database and modify existing records.
The mobile user profile may contain information on each user, such as mobile phone number, name, title, date of birth, sex, address, interests, mobile phone type or last known location of the mobile user. However, the mobile phone number is the only mandatory component of the profile structure.
