Founded in 2000, Flytxt is a privately held company based in London. It currently has 35 employees, of which 16 are involved in software development.
Flytxt raised E 2 million in 2000. The lead investor was IVC, a German venture capitalist specialising in seed-stage investments. The second institutional seed financing investor was Mars Capital. Other investors included a range of high-profile business “angels”.
Flytxt has run more than 250 mobile marketing campaigns in the UK, Europe and worldwide on behalf of more than 70 clients, including Emap, Cadburys, the BBC, Channel 4, Five TV, Comic Relief, Bayer and Miss World. Flytxt’s mission is to help companies create more rewarding interactions with their customers via mobile and digital channels.
As a founding member and board member of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), which sets the standards by which the companies within the sector operate, Flytxt promotes permission-based communication and is sensitive to customers’ privacy.
